Career Day - November 16th

Our annual Career Day will take place on Wednesday, November 16th. This is a 7th through 12th grade event held in the morning, followed by shortened classes. We bring in a variety of speakers to present to students as a way of exploring career options. Every year we bring in different speakers and different careers, so students are exposed to new options and pathways. This year we have another fantastic lineup of careers and speakers, including engineers, managers, law enforcement, barber, designer, musician, nurse, event planner, brand ambassador, entrepreneurs, and many others. Students will get to choose the five presentations they attend. We are excited for another meaningful day!

The National Honor Society is hosting an Operation Christmas Child Drive!

This month, the National Honor Society is partnering with Operation Christmas Child to pack gift boxes for needy children around the world.  To make this happen we need your donations of school supplies, toys, personal care items, and clothing. We will have donation boxes around the school for the items. If you are confused about what supplies are accepted, there are posters above the donation boxes with specific items that are accepted. Here is a link to the list of suggested items and items that cannot be donated: Donation. In addition to box supplies, We are also in need of monetary donations to help the nonprofit ship and deliver the gift boxes to children in need in over 100 countries. If you are able, please consider donating some money to help these gifts get to underprivileged children around the world! You can send money via venmo to @JABoosters and specify that your money is for “NHS Gift Boxes” or you can turn money into the office with the label “NHS Gift Boxes.”  This drive ends on November 18th. Thank you so much for your donations!
