Welcome to Chemistry!!!

I am super excited to be teaching Chemistry! Since my first chemistry class when I was a sophomore in high school, I knew that my life would revolve around this subject. We are all made up of trillions upon trillions of tiny little particles called atoms, and that is the most beautiful thing to me. It is my pleasure to share this subject with my students.

A Bit About Myself
I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. Just a month after I turned 18, I moved to Philadelphia, PA to study chemical engineering at Drexel University. After getting my Bachelor of Science, I craved more education. I decided to go to graduate school at Colorado School of Mines for chemical engineering. I fell in love with Colorado quickly and decided to make it my home.

After grad school, being an engineer didn't seem nearly as exciting as studying engineering. I recognized that my true passion was not engineering, but the process of learning, especially in science and math. I decided that the best fit career was really in spreading my love of science to the world by becoming an educator.

Besides science, I love the arts and being active. I am a dancer, mostly modern, contemporary, and ballet. I also sing and act, but not as actively as dance.  I am an avid knitter and crocheter and I dabble in visual arts as well. Dance is also my favorite way to stay active, though I also enjoy rock climbing, skiing, and hiking.
