Brackeen

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended an all-girls school for most of my life! I received a full scholarship to the University of North Texas and lived in Denton for about 5 years. I loved North Texas and exploring different cities while in college. My major was in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Spanish. I am semi-fluent and love practicing my language skills whenever I get the chance. After graduation, my best friend and I decided we were ready to leave Texas and landed in Colorado. We have been here since January and have fallen in love with the mountains! I started at JA as an in-house substitute teacher. Teaching was never my plan, but I realized very fast that JA was special. I accepted the opportunity to stay on as a full-time teacher starting this fall! I have loved teaching Pre-Engineering, Teen Choices, and Anatomy & Physiology. Science has a special place in my heart and it's been a privilege sharing that with my students.
