I’m always impressed by how well our athletes play...with class.  I hear it often from parents and coaches from other schools, that they enjoy playing JA because whether we are winning or losing, we don’t play cheap and we don’t play dirty.  Character has to be a priority for any successful program, and I am grateful to our parents, coaches, and teachers for modeling this to our athletes.. Success without character sacrifices progress.

High school volleyball had some big matches these last couple of weeks and not just for the standings.  In their match against Peak to Peak, the team honored those affected by breast cancer with their Dig Pink night.  The team raised over $200 in support of the Side Out Foundation. Then last night we celebrated four outstanding athletes with our Senior Night while welcoming our future Jaguars on Elementary Night.  Volleyball still has two big matches left next week before their postseason tournaments begin.

Junior high soccer just came up short of the 4-peat.  After coming in third in the league standings, they upset #2 Dawson in the semis before losing to #1 Faith Christian in the finals.  In no way, though, does that overshadow and great season of growth for these guys. Way to go!

Junior high volleyball had their own postseason tournaments last week as well.  The B-team brought home the championship as they repeated from last year.  Going in as the top seed, they defeated #4 Prospect Ridge in the semis and then won a thrilling three-game match against #2 Flatirons Academy.  The A-team went in with the #3 seed and lost in their first match against the eventual champion #2 Flatirons Academy. These teams show great promise for the future of JA volleyball

The second season starts today for high school cross country.  The regionals race is today at Denver City Park.  The Jags should represent well as the top runners in this race qualify for State.

Junior high cross country has their state meet this weekend.  The Jags have several runners for both the girls and boys teams who could find themselves atop the leaderboard.  Good luck to Coach Kinard and her runners this weekend!

We all knew it was going to be a tough start to the schedule for high school boys soccer, but it has paid off as these guys have matured and gelled quickly.  Since the 0-4 start, the Jags boys FC has gone 7-2 with big wins against league rivals Prospect Ridge and Peak to Peak and highly ranked Lutheran.

Congratulations to the boys golf team on their growth this last season.  Ethan finished 78th and gained the experience he will need when he is back there next year, hopefully joined by a few of his teammates.

A reminder that pets are not allowed on the soccer field grounds.  There are too many people at these games with too much action going on.
