Summer Information

We welcome any girl, new player or returning player, wanting to be part of our program, to join in our various summer opportunities.
Summer is the time for the girls to get in shape, push their bodies, build their strength, improve their skills, and get their hands on the ball. Not only will we have open gym times this summer, but we also have the opportunity to have training sessions with a hired trainer, for strength and conditioning.

Nothing we offer is mandatory
, but both open gym times and training sessions are highly encouraged, so girls feel at their best for tryouts and the 2021 season.  
Open gym times are free and walk-in. However, training sessions require registration and will cost $30 per player, which will cover the cost for all summer sessions (11 sessions).

JA Summer Information (for incoming 9th-12th graders) @ JA Secondary
  • OPEN GYMS (June 15th-August 5th): Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9-10:30am. Free & walk-in.
  • TRAINING SESSIONS (June 28-August 4th):  Mondays & Wednesdays, 9-10:30am. Registration/Payment required.

Additional JA Dates:
  • High School TRYOUTS: August 9th & 10th, 4-6pm @ JA Secondary. Girls need to attend both days.
  • Youth Volleyball Camp (for 2nd -8th grade): August 6th, 9am-12pm @ JA Secondary
  • Grass Volleyball Tournament - Coming Summer 2022
Other Opportunities:
While JA offers summer options, we really do encourage girls to get involved in other volleyball opportunities. Skills camps/clinics are a great way to target specific growth areas, and to learn from other coaches. Getting involved on a club team provides yearlong training and competition.
