What a great privilege that was to be a part of the signing day for collegiate letters of intent.  A huge congratulations to Brooklynn Kirkpatrick, Lily Thimsen, and Zace Buckhold, along with their families, for their commitments to athletics at the next level.  It is inspiring to see their dreams start to become a reality. The same congratulations goes out to all of our seniors who get to see their dreams materialize into a certain school or program.  Please continue to share with me those stories of your acceptance into art school or university/program of your dreams or your enlistment into the armed forces.

A huge congratulations to all of our fall sports.  All of our teams, both high school and junior high, participated in their respective post seasons.  Boys soccer started their playoff run with the only upset in the first round of the 3A bracket with a win over Middle Park.  I heard it was a little chilly up there that day. Unfortunately, their season came to an end after a hard-fought match against Aurora West College Prep.  Volleyball reached the regional playoffs for the first time since 2015.  They lost their matches to University and Bennett but finally got that playoff experience that I’m sure will just be the start for them.

Congratulations to Zeya Highley as she wrapped up her high school gymnastics career at the 4A state meet.  Standley Lake finished 5th with Zeya placing 9th in the Vault and 18th all-around.

Winter Sports Registration

If you are going to play basketball this winter you need to have your registration completed and turned in before you can practice.  Follow this link for your registration packet.

Basketball Volunteers

We need your help for our home basketball games!  We need volunteers to be the score keeper, run the score clock, and run the gate entrance.  You can earn a Metro League pass that will get you into all of our home games and away league games with only 10 hours of volunteering.  Home games start in December and there will be a link to the sign up list as we get closer to the season. We will also hold a training session like we did for volleyball for anyone who needs to learn how to run the score clock or keep score.  The training session will be on Monday, Dec. 2nd and then we have junior high games on the 3rd and 4th if you would like to hone your new skills.

If you would like to make some extra money for your team or club, please check out the basketball sign-up by clicking on the link below.

If anyone needs training, please contact Amanda Beck at to set up a time for training.

Thank you and here's to a great basketball season!
