A little about me:

I was born here in Colorado, and have lived in one part of Westminster or another since Iwas in 1st grade.  I have lived in the direct JA neighborhood since 7th grade, when I attended East Arvada Junior High, then Mandalay Junior High, finally finishing at Pomona High School. You could say that JA is really part of my history!
I finally did leave the area to go to college, and spent 5 terrific years at Trinity International University near Chicago.  I majored in Biology/Pre Med and Secondary Education. I loved college, but did not like Illinois! I missed the mountains!
I have been teaching Junior High since graduation, and even though some people question my sanity, I love 11-14 year olds! They are WAY more fun than any other age.
I have been privileged to teach Health, PE, Math, English, History and Science, but I bet you could guess that Science is my favorite!  I started teaching Junior High Science at JA way back in 2001, when we had all Temps for the JH. We called ourselves "the islands".
Outside of school, I enjoy spoiling my nephews every once in a while, keepin busy with friends, my big family, grading work, and running my side businesses (I'm a wedding planner and pet sitter).
My hobbies are reading Science Fiction (of course!), playing music, singing, doing art of all kinds, traveling, building things, and studying architecture.
